Building on the technology of Horizon’s HT30, HT70 and HT101 systems, the machine can be operated offline or inline with the BQ470, SB07 and SB09S perfect binders.
It features an icon-based colour touch screen with 200-job memory and set up for nine sections, infeed and cutting positioning.
Users can also add JDF integration via Horizon’s pXnet bindery control system, which cuts downtime at makeready, reduces waste and increases staff flexibility, IFS said.
The HT80 also features automated set up, on-demand production through the ability to run different size books back-to-back and a servomotor drive.
