The Digi-Finisher 8, which incorporates the MBO folder and HSB 8.000 saddle binder, features roll feed capabilities through the integration of an unwinder, and enables the operator to switch from sheet fed to roll fed as required.
It runs at a speed of 8,000 cycles per hour in saddle binder mode, an increase of 1,000 cycles over the previous HSB 7.000 configuration.
The combined folder and saddle stitcher caters for a maximum untrimmed spine length of 365mm.
Hohner UK managing director John Sykes said: "The Digi-Finisher 8 is aimed at companies who produce large volumes of digitally printed work. We have adapted it to a continuous feed format, which is a bit of a departure for us, to give our customers more options.
"The machine will be given its world premiere at Drupa, where we will show that we can supply finishing equipment for conventional litho printing but also for digital.
Pricing for the Digi-Finisher 8 has yet to be confirmed.
