The deal, for an undisclosed fee, is part of HH Associates' strategy to expand into Europe. Novavision will be renamed HH Denmark. HH Associates managing director Robert MacMillan said it would provide a "gateway to the rest of Scandinavia".
"Novavision has been established for 15 years and has a very good reputation," he added. "The Danish market is one that I believe is in tune with outsourcing and print management is a new concept for the Danes."
The Danish firm has a turnover of 9.5m and its clients include Co-op Denmark. MacMillan said the acquisition was part of HH Associates' push to gain localised knowledge in European markets.
"Our aim is to be the largest UK player in this marketplace and not to just set up satellite offices," he added. "To do this effectively localised knowledge and networks are crucial."
HH Associates marketing director James Hunt said: "This move will give us an opportunity to build on our existing customer base and expand the business into new areas to capitalise on the growth we are currently witnessing in the print market."
HH Associates' turnover currently stands at around 44m and MacMillan believed the acquisition of Novavision would help boost this year's figure. "I expect that we will double our turnover this year," he said.
The Sutton-based company's European strategy has continued apace this year and over the summer it appointed Chris Onslow as non-executive director, responsible for developing a pan-European business network (PrintWeek, 9 August).
