Heidelberg UK managing director Wolfgang Gorth will retire at the end of next month.
Gorth, who is 60, has worked at Heidelberg for 35 years, the last 25 of which have been in the UK, which was Heidelbergs first overseas subsidiary. He said it was the right time to go.
He will be succeeded by sales director George Clarke, who in turn will hand over the sales reins to current web division director Jim Todd. A replacement for Todd is currently being sought.
Wolfgang told me in 1993 that he would retire at Drupa 2000, said Clarke. Ive done my apprenticeship, and am very excited about the challenges ahead. We have a very good team.
