Central Media has been revealed as the UK beta site for Heidelbergs Prinance MIS.
The Leeds-based design and print firm has been testing the software, which will be launched at Ipex, for the past four months.
Central Media was a design and pre-press firm that moved into print with two Heidelberg presses this year. This is its first MIS.
"From the start we chose Heidelberg because everything linked seamlessly together," said managing director Andrew Ainge. "The information from
Prinance is good, its very formal and doesnt allow mistakes."
The firm is using the estimating module and is now moving onto job ticketing. It plans to link its factory up
so that jobs can be tracked from estimate through quote, order, stock control, production and invoicing.
"Prinances big benefit is its integration with pre-press and press based on JDF," said Heidelberg UK marketing manager Sascha Fischer. "It combines business management with production management." Prinance will cost around 10,000 for a three-seat system and is designed for factories with up to 100 staff.
