The 60-year-old, family-run printer, which moved from Chorley to Bolton last month, produces brochures, leaflets, booklets, postcards, posters, cards, ring binders, folders, point-of-sale and more for a range of corporate clients.

Originally a litho printer, Haslam was an early adopter of web-to-print and nowadays provides a service starting from initial concept through to distribution.

Managing director Darren Horrox said he was determined to stick with Heidelberg when the time came to upgrade the Linoprint. “The new digital press can handle up to 400gsm boards and is great for overprinting, when we personalise or version-offset work.

“This is a press that gives tight register. We are a corporate brochure company with digital options so it is the quality aspect that is key. The ability to print six-page A4 might create an opportunity for us but that was an added benefit rather than the key to this investment.”
