Green Protest

Greenpeace staged a demonstration at Stora Ensos Wapenveld mill in Holland, over allegations that the paper producer has sourced timber from ancient forests.

Nine activists from the environmental group scaled a building at the paper mill, attaching wooden reindeer and a banner proclaiming "forest crime".

Greenpeace forest campaigner Oliver Salge claimed that Stora Enso was one of the largest customers of forest company Metshallitus, which he alleged sourced timber from ancient forests in northern Lapland.
