In a joint statement the two parties said discussions had been conducted openly and honestly, with union representatives being allowed access to Greaves financial position.
They also said positive talks over the future of the gravure printing side of the plant were continuing.
However, only this week the business was dealt another blow after PrintWeek revealed that printing of the Guardians Saturday magazine supplement, Weekend, would move to Polestar Purnell near Bristol.
