The latest spend follows a multi-million pound order for three new Goss webs and comes in the aftermath of a devastating fire at the company earlier this year. The first of the new presses will arrive in the next fortnight.

Graphoprint has invested in a raft of Muller Martini equipment including three AvantiPlus log stackers, Exacto rotary trimmers, Forte compensating stackers and an underfloor conveying system. It has also invested in an additional PrimaPlus saddle stitcher.

"We chose Muller Martini equipment after very careful consideration," said works director Mike Povah. "What convinced me was the quality of the logs produced by the horizontal stacker and the ease of operation with minimal operator intervention."

Graphoprint's run lengths vary from 20,000 to 20m. It has a turnover of 27m.
