Graphix Imaging has launched a digital bulk print service offering runs of up to 300 for point-of-sale work. The service will be based on its Kodak Professional 5260 wide-format ink-jet printer, which is currently being installed.
Speed and quality is what weve been waiting for, said managing director Lee Solomon. The Kodak allows us to target the screen print market at prices people can afford.
The London firm, which started as a photographic lab, says the quality from the Kodak will allow it to take on work produced by other firms on the Durst Lambda digital photographic printer.
The Lambda is fine for photographs but 95% of work includes flat colour and text with the Kodak we can knock it from a great height, said Solomon.
