Future makes speedy purchase at Muller show as orderbook grows

An Irish printer made the most of Muller Martinis recent open house event in Iver by buying a PrimaPlus stitching line.

Dublin-based Future Print was so desperate to increase its finishing capacity as soon as possible that it actually bought the kit that Muller Martini was exhibiting.

The machine, which comes with an automatic makeready system, represents the final piece of a £4.7m investment by the company.

Future Print managing director Chris Jameson said: “We have upgraded each department, from pre-press to new presses, and now we are adding another PrimaPlus to our bindery, to keep up with the incoming work.”

The kit will be stripped down and shipped to Ireland in the next month. It will replace an older stitcher
and will run alongside an existing Prima.

Future Print is a commercial printer handling reports and accounts, pharmaceutical leaflets, brochures, magazines and inserts.

As well as the PrimaPlus, Muller Martini exhibited the Presto and Bravo Plus T saddlestitchers, and the Apollo compensating stacker.
