Fuji technology boosts digital print quality

Fujifilm has said it will bring digital print quality closer to litho following the UK launch of its Toner Quality Control (TQC) at Total Print! Expo.

The manufacturer is demonstrating the product on a Xerox DocuColor 8000 on stand 315. TQC reduces the amount of toner used in the digital press, which the company said results in litho-like quality.

"It optimises the amount of toner put down but the colour consistency remains," said Fujifilm marketing manager Graham Leeson. "It's an example of how we can make a difference to a digital press's engine. It's available now and we can also go to existing customers and tweak the set-up on their digital press."

Meanwhile, Fujifilm has unveiled a new addition to its Acuity range of products, launching the Acuity Advance UV inkjet flatbed machine.

The product, an OEM development with Océ, replaces the Acuity HD2504.
