New information obtained from the Office of Government Commerce shows that 244 companies applied to feature on the 12 lots of the framework, which will be worth between £85m and £250m per year over its four-year life.
Some 121 companies were invited to submit detailed tenders for what is understood to be print’s first Pan Government Collaborative Framework Agreement (PGCFA), which was then whittled down to 60 firms on the final framework. Those involved were told of their success by email on 26 March.
The PGCFA is led by the Department for Transport but is available to all government departments and local authorities, as well as the Scottish Executive and the Welsh and Northern Irish Assemblies.
