According to Agfa, users can "reduce the number of spot colours they print and store, efficiently do short runs and strongly increase their planning flexibility".

"The product will go onto the market in the second quarter of 2005," said Agfa product manager for software systems Colin McMichael. "It extends the colour range for users. There are certainly opportunities for us in the flexo market with this product."

Alongside Alterno it will show Sublima screening, to display the "benefits of its value added tools in screening and colour conversion".

Flexo 2005 runs from 15 to 17 March at the NEC, and  will include a best practice theatre, an advisory centre and a networking lounge.
