The BPIF said the programmes have been set up to offer “an ambitious curriculum to foster, develop and stretch the knowledge, skills and behaviours that are required to be an effective and successful team leader, supervisor or manager”.
The Level 3 course has been designed to cover 120 different key areas of knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be an effective manager.
Key themes include leading people, managing people, building relationships, communication, operational management, project management, finance, awareness of self, management of self, decision making and behaviours.
Hobbs the Printers pre-press team leader Steven Renyard said: “I found the course material very relevant to my job role and it really helped having others on the course in the same industry. It enabled us to bounce different scenarios off each other.”
Enrolment dates for the course are 10 February in the Midlands, 11 February in London and 19 February in the North.

The key themes of this course include operational management, project management, finance, leading people, managing people, building relationships, communication, awareness of self, management of self, decision making and behaviours.
Speaking about his time on the course, Jazz Lambe, IT support at South & City College, said: “Having been let down by the education system in the past, I found myself pleasantly surprised by how regularly I was able to refer to my tutor for some pointers on things I needed to do to complete or improve any assignments I was working on.
“I found myself receiving a greater amount of help from my tutor than I expected and offered some suggestions when I was even unfortunately made redundant from my job during my second year.
“My tutor even spoke on my behalf during the time that I was looking for a new job, and the BPIF allowed me to continue to study with them until the course’s completion.”
Enrolment dates for the Level 5 course are 26 February in London, 27 February in the Midlands and 28 February in the North.
