The app, first introduced in April’s Wrapfest event, has been designed to help attendees navigate events, providing an overview of exhibitors, the event agenda, and other visitors, while acting as a digital entry badge for both Fespa and – for ticket holders – the Fespa Party.
Attendees are able to bookmark suppliers, arrange meetings, and add talks to their personal diary, with the app notifying users when events go live. Visitors can also filter exhibitors by products, allowing them to prioritise their business interests and find new contacts.
A built-in scan function likewise helps those who might have forgotten their business cards, by allowing visitors to scan a peer’s badge to request their contact information for later.
Michael Ryan, Fespa’s head of its Global Print Expo, said: “Our investment in this new app is geared towards making our visitors’ trip to Munich and their event experience as smooth and effective as possible.
“Not only does the app allow delegates to plan their visit ahead of the event, it also acts as a diary, ticket and way finder onsite. Visitors to a major international trade show typically have a very busy schedule and a lot of ground to cover.
“This new digital tool will optimise the value they get from their time at the show, and enhance their experience of the event after they leave, by giving them continued access to exhibitor information and contacts for three months after the show.”
