Metallics papers use a combination of pigmented, iridescent and colour-shift coatings to produce papers with metallic surfaces.
Favini’s marketing and sales director Chris Brown said: "In addition to the classic colours and the gold and silver shades, the range now includes the soft reflective Satins, which make the collection even more attractive with their refined satin sheen."
The paper will be available through GF Smith in the UK and prices will vary according to quantity, weight and colour.
"The special effect of these papers comes from the pigments shimmering through the printed image without affecting its colours. This adds to any print an extra element of style and inspiraton," said Brown.
He said Metallics papers stood out in terms of their print and finishing properties. He added that the paper was also made to the "highest environmental standards" with FSC pulps.
The €129m (£104m) turnover company, which is based in Italy, produced the paper with its research and development department.
"It has proven to give superb results with any printing and converting technique and works excellently with digital printing," said Brown
