The Hertfordshire-based company will take delivery of the Speedmaster XL 75 with coater next month, replacing an existing Heidelberg SM 74-6.
Falkland, which has today (4 January) taken on two new staff – bringing its headcount total to 17 – is looking to push its monthly turnover to around the £170,000 mark following the installation.
Managing director Jonathan Lancaster said: "The XL 75 with its anti-marking technology, including the automatic air setting, is ideal for the type of high-speed, quality production we handle.
"We see it as a machine that is robust enough to take us from double-day, five-days-a-week production to run 24 hours cost-effectively."
The B2, B3 and digital printer also operates an e-commerce site that is aimed at professional designers and print buyers. The Printed Easy website was launched early last year following a £100,000 upgrade of the company's web presence.
Speaking at the time, Lancaster said: "We have had a number of customers who now regularly buy just using the website. I have not seen another website like it for buying print online."
Falkland Press was established 34 years ago and operates from a 929sqm site in Hatfield.
