Marqetspace is the trade printing operation of print PLC Grafenia. The company made a substantial investment in D.gen Teleios Grande wide-format textile printing kit and associated finishing equipment to support its fabric offering, which includes fabric displays, flags, gazebos, furniture, and light boxes as well as raw fabric.
Grafenia chief executive Peter Gunning said the creative possibilities of ink-on-fabric had considerable appeal for print buyers.
“It’s amazing, when you talk to designers about it you can see their minds whirring. Although some areas of print are declining, printed fabric is growing really strongly. It was 12% of our revenues in January and has become a big part of our business, from zero,” he said.
“At PrintWeekLive! we are going to be helping printers get started in fabric with demo kits and swatch samples, and we’ll be giving away free swag as always – things to help printers sell.”
Marqetspace has taken a 12sqm stand at the show, which is located back-to-back with sister operation Nettl.
PrintWeekLive! takes place from 8-9 March at the Wasps Arena, Coventry. Visit www.printweeklive.com to register to attend the show.
