The new RIP, which has been engineered by StudioRIP and specifically designed for the screen printing sector, will be branded Xerio RIP by Grafco.
According to Leighton Buzzard-based StudioRIP, Xerio RIP will enable screen printers to properly utilise the potential of stochastic screening.
StudioRIP's eponymous RIP, which forms the heart of the Xerio RIP product, is compatible with PostScript Level 3 and PDF 1.6 and is designed for high-performance imaging tasks.
Andy Hemmings, sales director of StudioRIP said: "Grafco asked if we could create a version [of StudioRIP] for them specifically tailored to the needs of the screen printing market, including taking mesh frequencies into account as well as standard screen frequencies.
"As a result, we have developed an OEM product for them, Xerio RIP, which incorporates Grafco’s screen printing knowledge with our RIP building knowledge."
Treviso-based Grafco, which is a European supplier of ink and equipment for silk screening onto textiles, will appoint sub-dealers for the Xerio RIP product throughout Europe, including the UK.
Three versions of the Xerio RIP software will be available including Start, Pro and Master.
