Wyndeham subsidiary ET Heron could be the next UK printer to opt for the 48pp web format.
Essex-based Heron, which prints PrintWeek, has visited the continent to looks at Rolands 48pp Rotoman.
Wyndeham Press group finance director Paul Hollebone said: "Theyre looking at it, but they havent ordered it yet."
If Heron does install a 48pp machine, it will probably replace one of its existing Baker Perkins G16s.
Pindar, Duncan Web Offset and TPL have all installed 48pp presses within the last 18 months.
Benhams signed up for the UK's first 64pp web two weeks ago.
