ESP completes site graphics for Great Ormond Street

ESP Technologies has used its new Vutek PressVu flatbed ink-jet printer to print a 100m mounting for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The Aylesford-based firm used 100 separate tiles, each 2.1x1.22m, creating over 250m2 of digital imaging.

The frieze is mounted on hoardings surrounding the first building site in a 20-year redevelopment of the hospital. It features a series of images of patients by photographer Richard Bailey, which are interspersed with Great Ormond Streets "The child first and always" slogan.

ESP selected pre-cut sheets of 3mm Dibond rigid aluminium laminate due to the substrates ability to withstand the rigours of the building site.

The firm also screen printed a UV over-varnish to give further protection.

ESP managing director Stephen Hood said the opportunity to do work for Great Ormond Street was "a dream come true".
