The 6,000sph Pit Stop Mini offers standard and digital crease, and perf and micro-perf on sheets from 80x100mm to 360x640mm (with an option up to 360x850mm).
"Although its maximum sheet size is smaller, the actual build and construction is exactly the same as the high-speed machine," said Encore managing director Mike Biggs.
The 10,995 Italian-built Mini also has a 20-job memory. "So, you can set all the positions of the creases and alphabetically and numerically name the jobs, then you just call back that job, press go and it will automatically adjust to the set positions," said Biggs.
The firm took the first two orders for Mini at Ipex last month.
At the show, the firm also demonstrated three new options for the mini's 8,000sph big brother, the Pit Stop High Speed, including high-pile feeder and delivery units for the 14,995 machine.
The standard feeder takes sheets from the bottom of the top-loaded 30mm stack. "The new system allows a 550mm pile, so you can get a full stack in, and feeds from the top," said Biggs.
The firm, which is the UK agent for MB folders, has also begun shipping a bridging unit allowing the High Speed to be linked to any second folder unit.
