The £17m-turnover print and packaging company will soon be running its pre-press and print workflow, job estimation, finance, production scheduling, customer relationship management, forecasting, EDI (electronic data interchange for digital transactions) and web ordering throught the Epicor system.
Previously staff would have to use different interfaces for each system and sometimes need to rekey data. The company, realising it had outgrown its existing systems, put more than 10 MIS and ERP platforms through their paces before deciding on Epicor for its flexibility and longevity.
IT director David Clark said: "The lifetime value of Epicor is far beyond the other systems we assessed. We can see Epicor giving value to our business over the next 25 years, if not longer. The whole system is written with transparency, real-time information and seamless integration in mind. This combination means that we can be confident about the way it will evolve with our business."
The Newcastle-based business produces books, magazines, photo products, packaging, information and marketing materials as well as offering pre- and post-press services, fulfilment and logistics.
