Parish, who is part-owner and executive chairman at Premier League football club Crystal Palace, will join the BBC TV series where budding entrepreneurs pitch for investment along with Jenny Campbell, a former banker and founder of ATM machine business YourCash.
Current dragon Sarah Willingham is stepping down at the same time as Jenkins.
Under Parish’s leadership London repro house The Adplates Group was transformed into international production agency Tag Worldwide.
The business was acquired by BPO giant Williams Lea in the summer of 2011, and Parish stepped down in the autumn of the following year.
Tag Worldwide made a pre-tax profit of £10.6m on sales of £112.5m in the year prior to being acquired.
In an article profiling the new dragons, the BBC said that Parish made “in the region of £150m” when he sold Tag.
Parish, whose Twitter handle is still @CEO4TAG, tweeted that he was “Really looking forward to seeing and hopefully getting involved in some exciting businesses.”
Jenkins sold personalised greetings card business Moonpig.com to PhotoBox in a £120m deal in July 2011.
He said he was stepping down in order to have more time to focus on his portfolio of educational technology businesses.
Series 15 of Dragons’ Den will air on BBC Two later this year. Parish and Campbell join investors Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden and Touker Suleyman on the show.
