The company has added a knife fold attachment to the single system operation, which is aimed at applications such as greeting cards, CD covers, folded "tent" business cards, brochures and leaflets.

Duplo's knife folder incorporates two knife folds, making it ideal for parallel fold applications such as letter and gate folds.

It runs at a speed of up to 50 sheets per minute, matching the capabilities of Duplo’s creasers. It can also be bypassed for no-fold applications.

The Integrated Folding System can also incorporate other elements such as a cross-and straight-conveyor as well as simple and more sophisticated high capacity stackers.

Peter Jolly, marketing manager at Duplo UK, said: "Our DC-645 slitter/cutter/creaser and the DC-445 creaser have been extremely successful in the growing print-on-demand market.

"Companies need to do small jobs very quickly and accurately so it’s vital that margins gained during the printing process will not be lost in the finishing department."
