The company has been trading in mainland Europe for more than two years, but the UK arm was formed in the run-up to the show by Paul Manners and Intelligent Finishing Systems (IFS) joint managing directors Bryan Godwyn and Tony Hards.
"The Dumor machines complement everything that we offer at IFS without competing with Horizon products, so it should work very well for us," said Godwyn.
The company’s offering, some of which will also be available through IFS, is focused on a selection of equipment from various Chinese manufacturers, all of which have subsequently been re-engineered for the European market, with some also featuring additional improvements. According to Manners, the machines are "considerably cheaper" than rival machines.
He said: "We have one manufacturer that works exclusively for us, but we also deal with many others who produce formats that are not suitable for the UK. We have worked with them to improve the products specifically for the UK."
He used the example of the Dumor UK SRA3 card cutter. The original product could only cut substrates up to A4, but for the UK market the format was increased to SRA3 making it suitable for digitally produced work in that format.
Manners also said that the cutter was the only fully programmable machine in its class. It can also cut any length from 40-150mm, rather than being set at specific sizes.
On stand B104, the company is also exhibiting the DigiCut 52 guillotine, Digibind 60 APSG perfect binder and Trident 46 pouch laminator.
Manners added: "We are only interested in the digital market; we have no interest in litho. We won’t make a machine bigger than 370mm.
"We like to think we have a different concept and do things differently – they may look the same but they are different."
Dumor UK also has a number of exclusive show offers, including free installation on selected purchases. Savings range from £300 on a £2,999 table-top binder to £500 on a Digibind 60APSG standalone single-clamp perfect binder with integrated side-gluing, priced at £6,899.
