The company, run by mother and daughter Elaine Clark and Verity Fox, was recognised for its success in the wide-format print business, which recently has seen the company payroll swell to 46 employees.
Fox, the firm’s managing director, told Printweek: “It meant a huge amount to me, my mum, and the business, especially after the year we’ve had.”
Dominion’s founder, Dominic Clark, passed away in early 2023, leaving his wife and daughter the reins.
Elaine Clark, director, said: “This year has been difficult for the family, but we are delighted to end it on a high with this award.
“It is a much-appreciated recognition for our magnificent team here at Dominion, whose hard work and dedication means we all continue to succeed – a huge thank you to you all. “
Fox said: “I think given the current climate in the market, too, and the big corporations that seem to be sweeping the industry, I think it’s great to still be family-run and have the award recognise that.”
Fox added that her husband also works in the business, and many employees work alongside family members, making the award feel even more special.
Dominion’s success at the awards has come off the back of a positive business year for the firm, including the installation of a brand-new EFI Vutek Q5r 5m reel-to-reel inkjet press in March as the brand’s workhorse press.
“We love it, our printers love it, it’s a really great piece of kit,” Fox said, adding the company does not intend to rest on its laurels, with research already underway into a new reel-to-reel machine to be installed in 2024.
“We’ve had a few successes, with some new clients,” Fox explained.
“It’s been really great, and we’re hoping that it’s onwards and upwards from here, with hopefully some exciting announcements in the new year.”
