The 2004 show will occupy both floors of the Olympia exhibition centre in London when it is staged from 26-28 October. Last year's event covered just one floor.
Space for the enlarged event is already 90% sold out after a number of new big-name exhibitors signed up including Agfa, Litho Supplies, NexPress Solutions and Turning Point Technologies. Those returning for the second year running include Epson, Hewlett-Packard and Xeretec Group.
IIR said it would build on the "interactive formula" of DPW 2003 and special features this year would "inspire and educate visitors in all things digital". Industry experts and digital printers will also be debating all the issues of the digital print business from "guiding customers through the technology maze" to "the realities and potential of variable data".
A greater focus on large-format technologies would also be evident with the introduction of the "large- format zone", IIR said.
