The "Carnival of Colour", which will be held at LCC's School of Printing and Publishing, will look at future developments and best practice in digital colour print management, workflow and output.
Sue Pandit, LCC dean of school, said the symposium, which includes a keynote speech from industry consultant Andy Tribute, would help "de-mystify digital colour print and make its opportunities more widely accessible".
She added: "Digital colour is a reality of our industry today and the excellent quality that can be achieved is no longer in any doubt.
"The crucial element is having a full understanding of the complete process from concept to printed finished product, and this is why we have invited the experts along."
Xerox, EFI and X-Rite, including Pantone, will be appearing at the event, where topics of discussion will cover controlling colour from concept to final print, managing industry colour standards, digital colour print solutions, options and opportunities.
The event takes place on Thursday 30 October and features a repeat programme, starting at either 2pm or 5pm.
