our existing contact in the 'AR world' due to them entering an exclusive agreement with another printer. Internet searches have provided frustrating results when searching for suppliers to the digital side of AR. Do you have any contacts – or could you point me in the direction of a website – of any suppliers that handle the digital aspects that we could approach regarding this project that you may have encountered on some of your features? Many thanks in advance.

A Handily enough, as it happens, my colleague, PrintWeek executive editor Barney Cox was at an augmented reality event just the other week and he has suggested that Total Immersion might prove to be a useful supplier in this field. Our contact there is sales director Myles Peyton (01932 895755, www.t-immersion.com). I hope this is useful for you; I'd also be interested to hear from anyone else with expertise in this arena too, as it would be good to build up a bigger list of contacts. If that's your business, please get in touch.
Q Does anyone know where I can get 'calendar tinning' done in the UK? This is the process of crimping a metal edge on the top and bottom of a poster in order to be able to make it hang straight when it's hung up.

A An interesting question. I've been given posters and calendars produced in this way that originate from South East Asia – the local Chinese takeaway usually hands them out and I'm sure they all originate from China. I think it's a popular format in Japan too. An internet search reveals a clutch of binderies in the US that can perform such work, but here in the UK my quest to find a supplier has proved fruitless thus far. I spoke with the extremely helpful Adrian at Presco, which sells a huge range of print finishing sundries, including calendar hangers and various calendar-related accoutrements, but not the tinning gadgetry. Adrian said he wasn't aware of anyone in this country who does it and I've spoken to various print finishers who do calendars and/or hand finishing, but have drawn a blank. Is there anyone out there who can help? All clues gratefully received, as per usual.
