The Lille-based printer – the digital arm of screen printing group Publiscreen – moved into digital with an Inca Spyder 320 machine, and anticipates the new addition will help modernise its kit.
Georges Verbaere, production director at Diamant, said: "Since we purchased the [Spyder 320] we have been able to produce small quantities cost effectively on a whole host of substrates."
The Turbo Plus can print on materials up to 4cm thick and up to 40kg in weight, whereas the Spyder model can handle substrates up to 3cm in thickness and 80kg in weight.
Verbaere said the two machines complemented each other and have extended the range of substrates the company can print on: "We can print on aluminium, wood, foam board and numerous rigid materials such as PVC.
"The new Turbo Plus fulfils our requirement for fast turnaround of short and medium runs, and has boosted our productivity."
