Jason Manchester, who started in the newly created role last month, has worked in the print industry for more than 30 years – including 10 years as technical manager at Hubergroup UK – and his areas of specialist knowledge include colour and quality management, both in terms of presses and software.
He will be tasked with improving DG3 Leycol’s ISO score rate, knowledge, usage and the general standard of its work, reducing spoilage and waste, and improving the efficiency of working practices.
Additionally, he will be responsible for increasing productivity, reducing downtime on the company’s presses by improving operator maintenance schedules, and improving the firm’s technical knowledge.
“Jason will also be playing a major role in the continuous investments made by DG3 Leycol to strengthen their position in the marketplace,” said DG3 commercial director Nick Wilson.
DG3 managing director Barry Page added: “DG3 Leycol are delighted to welcome Jason to the team and I know he will be a valuable asset to the company as we plan to expand our business model even further.”
The UK operation of US-headquartered Diversified Global Graphics Group, DG3 merged with Leycol Printers last year to create DG3 Leycol.
The combined entity, which has 150 staff and turns over £22m, has sites in Gillingham and Dagenham as well as a technical office in Birmingham.
