The investment is intended to reduce the company's carbon footprint and to help cut it's energy bill, with the solar panels capable of providing as much as 50% of the factory's power requirements on a bright summer day.
A display panel showing how much power the system is actually generating and the levels of CO2 that are being saved will be installed in Denny Bros reception area in the future.
Denny Bros quality manager Julian Colman said: "As a company, Denny Bros is extremely environmentally aware and we constantly strive and explore new avenues to lessen our carbon footprint.
"The sun provides a tremendous resource for generating clean and sustainable electricity without toxic pollution or global warming emissions. Due to the nature of our business, our facility is sometimes running 24/7 – so our decision in going solar makes sense from all perspectives."
Colman added that the firm was still looking into other environmental initiatives, including green lighting, zero to landfill, with other investments into green technologies still being investigated.
Denny Bros recently ordered a Xeikon 3500 digital label press with ICE toner technology at Ipex 2014.
