Delta's monster MAN arrives

The Delta Group has taken delivery of its MAN Roland five-colour format 8 905 XXL press.

The extra-large format machine, designed specifically for Delta, was delivered to the firm's Walthamstow facility from MAN Roland's Offenbach factory in Germany at the weekend.

Delta bought the press to print on a wider range of substrates including plastics and canvas at sheet sizes of up to 1,850mmx1,300mm.

"A team of Delta engineers have spent 18 months working closely with MAN Roland to develop the machine's capabilities," said Delta managing director Mike Phillips.

Delta co-operated with MAN Roland on exhibiting the machine at Drupa in May.
