Debenhams to use ASs CMYK Optimizer tool

Debenhams Print has become the first firm to buy CMYK Optimizer software from Applecart Solutions.

The in-house print division of the Debenhams store chain will use the software across its digital and litho print equipment.

"After only the first test using CMYK Optimizer we reduced ink consumption significantly without affecting the quality of the printed colours," said Debenhams Print print manager, corporate Lee Hutchinson.

The software is estimated to cut ink use by 10-30% for digital and litho production.

"After assessing Debenhams needs, it became clear that CMYK Optimizer was the most appropriate solution as it delivers the highest quality of printed materials and represents enormous value as a tool for cost reduction and extremely rapid ROI," said Applecart sales director Dave Mitchell.
