CUP to print Georgian exams

Cambridge University Press (CUP) has picked up a contract to produce examination papers for the Georgian government.

The deal will cover the printing, packing and distribution of Georgia's first government-backed national university entrance exams.

It was handed to CUP's printing division after a competitive tender process and a delegation from Georgia visited the company's site.

The group reviewed CUP's production process and its security procedures.

"The decision was made to contract an organisation, which would have huge experience in this field," said Georgian NAEC director Maia Miminoshvili.

In May, CUP was handed a contract to print exam papers for the Northern Ireland Council for Curriculum Examinations.
