The Otford, Kent-based firm, which serves the South East and South West and has recently set its sights on London, opted for Creo to "add another string to its bow" according to managing director Terry O'Neil.
The Agfa dealer wanted to expand its range of products including consumables.
"We looked at KPG and Fuji but they weren't offering anything that was different," said O'Neil. "They [Creo] were offering proofing and software, and it's all about software these days."
So far the firm has sold three Creo CTP packages with plates. Creo has got other dealers in the pipeline, but details need finalising. Said marketing manager Maria Machera: "We'll see how it goes with Filmtechnik before we roll it out."
Sales director Nigel Street revealed that following last week's departure of sales manager Chris Scully he was looking to add three more to his sales team, taking it to 12.
"I won't replace Chris in the medium term...his move gives me a chance to change structure," said Street.
