Creo will supply thermal imaging heads for the 74 Karat DI press, and will also continue the development of the thermal imaging system, which uses a different technology to its Squarespot system used on other DI presses.
Under the agreement Creo will also develop software and hardware for future digital printing applications and supply technical support for KBA.
The Karat was a joint venture between KBA and Scitex , but was taken over by KBA last year after Scitex sold its stake.
