The Letchworth, Hertfordshire-based company said that it needed to upgrade its existing guillotine in order to keep up with demand for its printed pharmaceutical booklets.
The new guillotine features a slotless bed and five-minute failsafe knife-change system. It can store 400 programs with up to 8,000 cut marks.
The 10-station, deep-bin VAC-Turbo 100 features a suction rotor drum feeding system, which GAE claims operates "effectively" on a wide variety of paper stocks at high speeds.
Cr8ive Press managing director Ian Wicks said: "Where eight temporary employees would have been required, now one full-time employee operates the collator.
"As a result, we can complete the jobs when we need to rather than waiting for staff to come in. We can also get through more work faster and take more work on because we know we can comfortably meet customer deadlines."
