The Brentwood, Essex-based business took on two Ricoh Pro C9200s and a Pro C7200x earlier this month, while a Pro TF6251 UV flatbed printer was installed in September. All four machines are managing work across both of the company’s operations.
The business also had a complete operational review undertaken by Ricoh’s Edge consultancy.
It has specialised in all aspects of financial printing for over 100 years and only recently expanded into online B2B and B2C print with Getitprinted.com.
With both arms of the 24/7 business responding to very different highly demanding markets, the team wanted to review its approaches and procedures to identify ways to be more effective, productive, and profitable.
After a thorough assessment using Ricoh Edge’s consultancy and methodology, and drawing on specialist knowledge and guidance, a plan was created to grow print volumes, increase service delivery, expand partnerships, and win new business.
Following a new online print seller relationship introduced by Ricoh, Colourfast Financial has already seen a 400% lift in print volumes.
Managing director Darren Bacon said: “We wanted to partner with a supplier that could work with us as we evolved our two businesses.
“Ricoh has given us the edge on our competitors and continues to support our next steps towards growth. We can now offer more to our customers and partners.
“Ricoh also introduced us to new online revenue streams that are growing volumes significantly. The next step is to develop some print marketing tools and we are very interested to see the results they will achieve.”
Mark Hinder, responsible for business development programmes at Graphic Communications, Ricoh Europe, added: “We collaborated closely with the team to consider effective and efficient ways to enhance both businesses.
“Using Ricoh Edge’s approach and methodology we were able to accurately assess the needs of the businesses and create a clear plan that provided concrete steps towards successful evolution.
“Colourfast Financial and Getitprinted.com are now in a better position to respond to increasing daily demands and confidently pursue future goals for growth.”
A year ago Colourfast Financial increased its finishing efficiency and productivity after taking on a Horizon HT-80 automated three-knife trimmer. It also runs a raft of Konica Minolta printers, including the UK’s first AccurioJet KM-1 that was installed in 2019.
