The SmartLF SC 42 scanner features Colortrac’s patented SingleSensor digital imaging technology that offers an optical resolution of 1,200dpi. It also incorporates a SuperSpeed USB3 interface, which offers a 5Gb/sec data transfer rate.
"The SingleSensor is a single full width 42 inch array of Contact Imaging Sensors (CIS) that are housed in a robust structure and pre-aligned, giving higher optical quality and improved match between sensors. The full width SingleSensor has 50,400 pixels, giving it an optical resolution of 1,200dpi and a maximum scanning resolution of 9,600dpi," said Colortrac executive director Peter Brown.
The SmartLF SC 42 is configured with a bi-directional white LED lighting system that minimises the shaded effect caused by creases or folds in original documents.
It is capable of scanning 330mm/sec mono or 152mm in full colour and features new single roller feed mechanism to maintain high scanning speeds.
According to the company, it can batch process 273 Arch-E (914x1,219mm) sized colour pages at 200dpi per hour, which makes it ideal for archival jobs.
