Aberystwyth-based Cambrian first saw the machine at a Heidelberg open-house in 2009.
However, the maximum sheet size of 270x350mm was not big enough, with 320x350mm the necessary limit.
Col-Tec managing director Paul Bailey said: "We agreed to return the machine to our factory and build a new bank of feeders with a re-designed layout to give the required sheet size.
"This meant disregarding the existing framework for the feeders and manufacturing a new frame with resized metal work using many of the previous components. New items were also fitted, primarily newly formed sheet metal."
The redesigned collators went in last week 15 February, alongside an inline offset stacking conveyor.
