IPA has become a strategic partner with CIP4 to provide JDF Expert Certificate training and qualification.
We want to rapidly increase the understanding of JDF to as many companies worldwide as possible, said CIP4 executive director Jim Harvey.
The internet-based training sessions, which are aimed at people involved in heading up firms adoption of JDF, will begin at the end of this month.
Initial topics covered will be the functions of JDF and its implementation. There will be 13 modules and an examination leading to the final certificate.
JDF will be centre stage at Drupa following the announcement that CIP4 and Drupa organiser Messe Dsseldorf will co-produce a series of events on the topic at the show.
There will be five different events and activities dedicated to promoting the application of JDF at the show.
A Compass Session will provide an insight into the applications of JDF; presentations in the Innovation Arena will highlight where to find JDF Innovations on the show floor; a JDF caf will provide demonstrations and a chance to meet with representatives from CIP4.
