Davies: played a key part in the growth and success of Roland DG

Long-standing Roland DG boss Jerry Davies has left the business, with EMEA marketing director Stephen Davis taking over as managing director of its UK and Ireland operation.

Davies joined the then-Roland UK in 1996 as sales director.

He became divisional managing director for Roland DG UK in 2001, and subsequently added a number of international territories to his remit.

Gregory Bilsen, chief executive at Roland DG EMEA, said Davies had “played a key part in the development, growth and success of Roland DG and he will be sorely missed”.

“We wish Jerry all the very best for the future in his non-executive director roles and we thank him for everything he has done for Roland DG over the years,” he said.

As of 1 January Davis (pictured below), who joined Roland DG EMEA just over a year ago, has taken on the additional responsibilities of managing director of its UK and Ireland operation.

Anders Mydtskov, who helms the North Europe business, now has an expanded role as EMEA sales director.

Bilsen said that Davis would work closely with UK CFO Rod Mitchell.

Roland DG’s product line spans large-format printers and printer/cutters, vinyl cutters, engravers, 3D printing systems and specialist systems for use in dentistry.
