The Rapida 145, with a sheet size of 1,060x1,450mm will be delivered in September.
This investment comes almost exactly three years after the printer bought a Rapida 162a in order to target new markets – display and packaging print – for its own customers as well as partner organisations. That purchase more than trebled the company’s capacity.
The strategy proved so successful, delivering continuing expansion, that it led to the decision to buy the Rapida 145.
The new press will be equipped with the same features as the company’s existing system. The press is a six-colour machine with coater tower and extended delivery. It is equipped for UV hybrid operation in order to achieve a wide variety of finishing options. Features include fast automatic plate changers, Clean Tronic Multi washing systems and lowerable non-stop rollers in the delivery.
Centrum’s managing director Sandra Mascaro began her Drupa visit by confirming the order on the KBA stand.
