The Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire-based company took delivery of its third Indigo since 2003 to help cater for personalised jobs received, in part, through its Uprint web-to-print portal.
According to the company, the 7000 model is helping it to handle a wide range of direct mail printing that involves digitally and litho-printed components on a range of substrates.
Paul Hale, sales director at CCG, said the business was becoming increasingly challenged to discover creative ways to wield variable data.
"Because we understand data, understand creative design and understand the strengths and weaknesses of VDP technology, we are able to employ innovative ideas, yet keep our feet on the ground when helping our customers navigate this technology maze," he added.
The 23-staff printer's press is integrated into CCG's HP SmartStream IN200 Production Pro Print Server, which helps handle large volumes of digital print on a daily basis.
Customers, including agencies, design groups and blue chip companies can use the Uprint web-to-print system to order jobs printed on the Indigos and also its Uquote portal for quotes on jobs.
"We chose the HP Indigo 7000 digital press based on our experience of earlier presses. HP's market recognition, the quality of print, customer service and press uptime were all factors in our decision," said Hale.
Concept Communications Group was established in 1986. It runs two HP Indigo machines, a 5000 and a 7000, as well as two Heidelbergs and a Komori litho press.
