The Foil-Tech, manufactured by Thermo-Type in the US, is a foil and Therm-O-Fusing machine that uses a bonding method that attaches the foil to a toner image printed by a copier or laser printer such as the Xerox DocuColor 12.
As you dont need a die, its incredibly cost-effective, said general manager David Ball.
The fully automated unit costs 6,950, and Caslon is in talks about a manual unit.
