Two thirds of the 138 end-users surveyed during Ipex were in favour of the scheme, which has established a uniform set of standards for purchase and post-sale warranty. The respondents also said theyd be prepared to pay more for extended cover.
BUPMSA chairman Mike Steele said: We have a different set of criteria for different equipment, be it a press, bindery kit or a guillotine. As well as ensuring it is fit for the purpose it was designed for, we also guarantee that our member companies will be on 48-hour callout for breakdowns.
