British Curry Club launches Chaat! magazine

The British Curry Club has launched a new bi-monthly magazine aimed at curry lovers in the UK.

The A4-size, 25,000-copy Chaat! magazine is produced through print management company CPM Media and will be distributed through 20 flagship Tesco stores as well as restaurants, hotels, showrooms and hairdressing salons.

The first of the 66-page issues will be available on 9 May for £2.50. It is hoping to piggyback a surge in interest in cookery titles, with recent ABC reports citing a circulation increase of 36% across food magazines, while cookery book sales jumped 10%.

Chaat! editor Dave Jenkins described the magazine as "a great way of getting everyone involved and showing people that they don't have to make a posh dish to impress. We're looking to include recipes and tips from everyone, whether it's a restaurant chef or your granny".
